Affiliates Program

The affiliate program is a State & IRS-qualified program that allows clubs and associations to help extend benefits to beekeeping organizations in Ohio at a significantly reduced cost. We provide a liability insurance policy that covers club officers during meetings, field days, training sessions, and fair events in the event of an accident. In addition, it’s structured to foster better communication and cooperation between OSBA and local associations. We file the 990 form with the IRS, file the yearly report with the Ohio Attorney General, and help with the Ohio Secretary of State.

You may apply to become an affiliate by completing the application, speaking with the Affiliate Committee, and paying the fees. Once you become an affiliate, you must renew your application, file your treasurer’s report, confirm your bylaws, and confirm your status with the Ohio Attorney General and the Ohio Secretary of State. The organizations listed below are covered by the Ohio State Beekeepers Association, Inc.’s group exemption.

Renewal Options

• Using the documents below ~ OSBA Affiliate Renewal Form 2026.
• Make sure you complete all supporting documents.
• Option #1. You may use the online Invoice Payment link (click here). Email the communication officer in the memo* (Club’s name & Treasurer’s name).
• Option #2. Mail documents to Ohio State Beekeepers Association, 99 N High Street, P.O. Box 15026, Columbus, OH 43215 (Do not send certified with signature upon receipt)
• Make all checks payable to Ohio State Beekeepers Association, Inc. 
• Once all documents have been received, a receipt will be sent, and an X will be placed before your club’s name above.
• Copies of the Affiliate Insurance Policy will be sent to the president & treasurer of each club once confirmed.
